Stories of Impact
Stories of impact abound at CCFW… A young mother needing help with school. A veteran struggling with the effects of war. A husband and father looking for employment. We serve tens of thousands in our 28 county diocese each year and their stories serve as our greatest source of inspiration.
Our goal is to make an impact in the lives of each and every person we serve. Watch below to see the difference our work has made in the lives of our fellow community members.

"I walked that stage not only as a college graduate, but as a first generation, 34-year-old mother of six children…Wow!! I still cannot believe that I made it!! God is so good! I absolutely could not have made it to the finish line without God sending me Catholic Charities to help me complete this journey."

Our Game Changers program is a new initiative for our supporters to step up and help us fill a critical need for a client. Clients like Fred Berry, who just got his driver's license and has never owned a car –– until now.
. . .
Last week we were thrilled to see Fred receive a fully paid truck through our #GameChangers program! This gift removes a huge barrier, providing Fred with reliable #transportation and making it easier for him to attend work and school. #eradicate #barriers
This is why we serve students. To ensure they have the support and resources they need to succeed, no matter the non-academic obstacles they face. #AdvocatesforGraduates

"STC has helped me so much and made a positive impact in my life. The program has helped me to stay on track and be successful in school. It is nice to never feel like I am alone. I can always count on my mentor to provide me with any resources I may need or if I need a friend to talk to my mentor has always been there for me. STC has provided me with helpful resources as a single parent and have made my son’s Christmas’ very special. It has been a struggle for me to earn my college degree and I can’t believe I am so close to finally graduating. I don’t believe I would have been able to do it without the wonderful help and guidance from STC."

"Education Navigation has impacted my life by taking away the financial stress of paying all my tuition and has equipped me with life skills to survive in the real world. My educational journey has benefited from this program through practical studying tips and encouragement and words of wisdom from my navigator to persevere in my career and life goals.
.
I believe Education Navigation is helping me to think about the future and be persistent to push towards my goals through face to face meetings. It has been a good source of accountability to put in the time and effort to meet my educational requirements such as good grades, presentations, and time management.
.
Thank you Education Navigation team for the effort put in for the workshops and for the extra effort you take out of your time to share the burden of school and life stress. You all are mentors. You impact not only our lives but of generations through families. Also, thank you donors for your generosity and providing us with a chance for a better future. We hope to give back with our dedication to providing great care for our patients."

"This program has truly been a blessing. I have learned so much through them. They have made school so much easier, taking weight off of my shoulders to focus on school. The most beneficial aspect of this program was the education that came along with it. Budgeting, life skills, and time management. I am truly blessed to be a part of such a great program. This is something that I will forever be grateful for and am truly thankful I was able to be given this opportunity."

"The Stay the Course program inspired me to better myself and not to give up hope. It taught me that having the courage to continue my education regardless of my circumstances is what counted the most—I wouldn’t have made it this far without the support they’ve given me along the way. I am beyond thankful."
