EVERY PERSON'S STORY MATTERS

Stories of Impact

Stories of impact abound at CCFW… A young mother needing help with school. A veteran struggling with the effects of war. A husband and father looking for employment. We serve tens of thousands in our 28 county diocese each year and their stories serve as our greatest source of inspiration.

Our goal is to make an impact in the lives of each and every person we serve. Watch below to see the difference our work has made in the lives of our fellow community members.

Be the light for someone in your community. “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light, for light produces every kind of goodness, righteousness, and truth,” Ephesians 5: 8-9. The system of poverty often prevents light from getting through, light that is necessary to pursue long-term stability. Help us light the way for our clients by donating to our Light the Way campaign.

Whether we realize it or not, we are interconnected with, and even dependent upon, the collective well-being of our community. We are brighter together. We must light a path for our community to our one bigger, brighter future.

Lights like these help us support clients in our MY Money at Work program.

“When I first started this program, I didn’t really know what to expect, but I knew that I would gain a lot of knowledge. My parents were migrants to this country, therefore topics like credit, investing, and budgeting have never really been matters that were discussed in our household. Even as I went through higher education, financial wellness was not a class that was readily available. As I entered the workforce in my first professional job, I knew that I wanted to make informed decisions about things that would impact my future. Since entering the program, I can honestly say that I feel not only more knowledgeable in topics of savings and budgeting but have the support and resources accessible for a variety of financial ventures. My continued goal and hope with this program is to maintain and further establish healthy financial habits that will pave the way not only for myself, but for my family.”
This client has 12,000 in savings. She has purchased a mobile home and is looking to save $20,000 and put 10 towards the principal balance and will be looking to purchase a better car. She continues to share her knowledge with her family for generational financial empowerment.
