Endowment

Making a gift to CCFW’s Endowment creates a living legacy of generosity

to those in need.

Planned Giving is a thoughtful and generous way to meet your personal financial objectives while helping CCFW in its long- term financial planning. It can also provide special opportunities for us to continue relentlessly ending poverty through holistic, evidence-based solutions – for generations to come.

At Catholic Charities Fort Worth, we are Faith-Driven, Research-Backed and Client-Led.

A strong Endowment will allow us to:

  • Decrease our reliance on any singular funding source and/or funding restrictions
  • Continue developing holistic, evidence-based programs that are proven to end poverty
  • React quickly when sudden needs arise or funding is reduced or cut
  • Provide supporters with a meaningful way to contribute toward the longevity of our organization, while receiving applicable legal or tax benefits

GIFTS

There are several ways to help CCFW’s Endowment, both in the short-term and long-term.

OUTRIGHT GIFTS

Outright gifts are gifts that include cash, securities (stocks, bonds, and mutual funds), real estate, tangible personal property, and/or retirement plan assets. Whatever form your gift takes, CCFW will work with you to ensure your gift creates a lasting legacy for those that need it most.

dummy element
Gifts of Cash
A cash contribution can be an effective way to accomplish your goal and is one of the easiest ways to make a gift.
Gifts of Appreciated Securities
Appreciated securities include publicly traded or closely held stock and taxable or tax-exempt bonds.
Matching Gifts
If you or your spouse works for a matching gift company, you may be able to double or triple your gift value.
Donor Advised Funds (DAF)

A DAF is a simple, flexible and tax-advantageous way to give to Catholic Charities Fort Worth. This fund acts as a charitable savings account, giving you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to how to CCFW and other, qualified, charities.

If you already have a fund, you can recommend a one-time or recurring grant now, or use your fund as a tool for future charitable gifts. Please reach out to Endowment@ccdofw.org if you have questions.

DEFERRED GIFTS

Deferred gifts are gifts that will benefit CCFW in the future and, in many cases, enable you to make a larger contribution to the longevity of the organization. We can work with you to determine which one is the best choice to accomplish your goals.

Charitable Trusts

A trust is a very flexible way to make a gift to Catholic Charities Fort Worth’s Endowment. It can provide for an income stream to one or more individuals or to the endowment and can last for a lifetime or a specific period of time. This type of gift can be established with a variety of assets and can provide fixed and variable income for life or a term of years. Examples include charitable lead trusts and charitable reminder trusts.

Life Insurance
Not all life insurance coverage may be needed for the reason it was initially purchased. Making a gift of a life insurance policy, or naming the Catholic Charities Fort Worth Endowment as a beneficiary, may allow a sizable gift to continue the mission of CCFW with minimal cost.
Retirement Plan
Qualified retirement vehicles can also provide a way to make a gift by naming the Catholic Charities Fort Worth Endowment as one of the beneficiaries of the retirement plan. Naming a charity as a beneficiary can result in significant tax savings to your estate and heirs.
Transfer on Death (TOD) Account

By placing a TOD on your brokerage or investment account, that account will be paid over to one or more persons or charities after your lifetime.

Will Bequests

A will is one of the simplest and most flexible ways to make a planned gift. Even modest estates can make charitable bequests through this type of planning. Bequests permit you to retain control of assets throughout your life and/or throughout the life of a loved one. A bequest can be for a specific amount, a percentage of the value of your estate, or the remainder of your estate.

Catholic Charities Fort Worth is proud to partner with MyCatholicWill.com to offer supporters a FREE tool to write their legal will while honoring their Catholic faith.  Gain peace of mind and protect those that you love most.

1910 SOCIETY

CCFW’s 1910 Society is an exclusive association that allows us to recognize and thank those who have already made gift or committed to leave a future gift through a bequest, trust, life insurance policy, retirement plan, or other charitable gift to CCFW’s Endowment.

PICTURE YOUR LEGACY

From refugees to long-term case management, by contributing to CCFW’s Endowment you have the power to invest in what matters most to you. These funds target broad areas that are vital to CCFW’s mission.
