Catholic Charities Fort Worth (CCFW), a nationally recognized nonprofit committed to ending poverty, is expanding its impact with the launch of LIFT in Parker County. Proven effective through years of measurable success across North Texas, LIFT is a free, personalized program that empowers individuals and families to achieve lasting financial stability. Applications are now open, bringing the life-changing resources of CCFW’s one-on-one coaching model to even more communities ready for transformation.
LIFT offers comprehensive services including case management, financial coaching, and resource navigation. The program equips participants with the tools, support, and accountability they need to set and achieve meaningful financial goals.
The program includes:
- Personalized planning and goal-setting
- Financial coaching
- Expert career and vocational support
- Counseling services
- Parenting support
- Social support groups
- Access to community resources
- A program graduation certificate
Each client is paired with a dedicated case manager to develop a customized plan that reflects their unique needs and goals. To be eligible for LIFT you must:
- Be 18 or older and willing and able to work
- Speak either English or Spanish
- Live in one of the following counties: Tarrant, Denton, Wichita, Johnson, Parker, Hood, Cooke, Archer, Baylor, Wilbarger, Montague, Clay, or Wise Counties
Already serving communities across North Texas, LIFT is making strides in ending poverty. Half of current participants have increased their discretionary income, and nearly 50% have grown their savings, milestones that reflect the program’s commitment to lasting change, not just short-term fixes.
“We’re excited to bring LIFT to Parker County and encourage eligible residents to apply today,” said Cindy Casey, Head of Client Services at Catholic Charities Fort Worth. “This program is about more than assistance, it’s about transformation. LIFT helps people not just survive but thrive.”
As part of this expansion, CCFW is also partnering with the University of Notre Dame’s Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) to study how virtual case management compares to in-person services. Eligible families are assigned to either virtual or in-person support services via a randomization process. This research will help inform how LIFT can reach even more families in the future.
Enrollment is ongoing, and it’s easy to apply to LIFT. To learn more, check eligibility, or apply for the LIFT program, visit lift.catholiccharitiesfortworth.org.
